Support Groups

‘Whoever wants to be great among you must be your servant and whoever wants to be first must serve you – just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve.’                     (Matthew 20: 26-27)

THE WELCOME PROJECT is managed by the North Handsworth Group of Churches and provides support for asylum seekers and refugees. The main focus is a Drop-in at Elmwood every Friday between 11-30 am and 2-30 pm at which support, including food parcels, is provided.

THE ASIAN STROKE VICTIMS SUPPORT GROUP meets every Monday and Wednesday between 9-30 am and 2-30 pm with food and social inter-action for members of the Asian community who have suffered a stroke.

Our doors are normally open between 9 am and 3 pm to try and provide spiritual and practical support if possible through prayer and people who will listen.
